Add a North Pole Postmark to Your Santa Letter
Santa letter services often advertise the fact that your letter will arrive with a genuine North Pole postmark. Seeing the North Pole postmark is a lot of fun for kids, but if you’re printing your own Santa letter at home, don’t despair. You don’t need to rely on a service to get one of these free postmarks. All you need is a little bit of time and an extra envelope and stamp.
Each year the U.S. post office in North Pole, Alaska, helps spread Santa’s magic by affixing special postmarks on any piece of mail for which it’s requested. And it’s free! All you need to do is make sure the post office knows you want the special postmark by sending it to the attention of “North Pole Christmas Cancellation.” Here’s all you need to do.
To get a North Pole postmark on your Santa letter, simply address and stamp your envelope(s) as you normally would. Then put them all in a bigger envelope and send them to:

North Pole Christmas Cancellation
Postmaster
4141 Postmark Drive
Anchorage, AK 99530-99998
To ensure delivery by Christmas, envelopes should be received at the North Pole post office no later than December 15.
If you’d prefer, you could get a Santa postmark instead.
